President Update

The first meeting of the 2015 committee was held last night.
Many positive points were raised in regard to the forthcoming season with an emphasis to making sure both our Junior and Senior programs are being set down very early on in the peace.

During  the discussions it was reported that we have dates set down to do clinics in 3 schools in our zone.
Great work by our junior coordinating sector but I urge any member that would be able to help with these clinics to put their hand up now so
we can roster staff for these clinics. We are asking for 2 Hours on a week day most likely 1.00pm – 3.00pm.
If we get several people to do just 1 session it becomes very easy and productive. Please e-mail the club if you can help.

Further to last week when I reported the unfortunate workplace accident involving Rob Datson, I would like to now advise that Rob is moving  forward and will soon be entering rehabilitation to start working on the recovery of his injuries.
Go for it Rob as we are all behind you !

In my last address I sent a message to all of our Past Players and Friends of Malvern to put their hand in their pocket and send a few dollars our way. Within 12 hours of that message I had a reply from one of our esteemed past players by the name of Gordon Elder asking for our bank details.
Gordon has since made a significant donation to the club, for which we are very grateful.
Donations that the club receive will be used to Pump up our Junior program and assist our Junior Coaching Program.
Well done “Gordie” and you have now thrown out the challenge to all the people from your era.

Our next Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday January 20th, upstairs at the Malvern Vale. Everyone is welcome to attend.

In closing I would just like mention that from a Committee point of view  our season has already started and we have a fine group of people being very proactive and already working hard on making sure that as a Club 2015 will be a year to remember.
All Good.

Regards to All.
Gus
